While the lock approach can be daunting, the marina itself is clean and modern. Some caution is advised due to slippery pontoon fingers and tidal restrictions for boaters. "Very friendly and helpful make it a pleasure to visit this attractive town.
The approach can be a little daunting, not least the free flow lock which feels rather narrow. But there are 40'+ boats inside which I don't think were craned in!
Its also worth being aware that on some neap tides the lock does not open for 3-4 days so if visiting do check the tidal coefficients."
