"☆☆☆☆☆☆
I would give six stars, if I could.
Own by Baron Philippine de Rothschild G.F.A.
The vineyard is a close neighbour of two First Growths: Château Lafite-Rothschild and Château Mouton-Rothschild.
41 hectares of vines in the commune of Pauillac. Most of the vines are over 50 years old. And rare Carménère grape are plantings there - about 10% of all in Bourdeaux.
Gravel and clay-limestone soil.
50% Cabernet Sauvignon
37% Merlot
10% Cabernet Franc
2% Petit Verdot
1% Carménère.
Wine aged in barrels between 16 to 18 months, 50% new.
2007 a new vat room.
One of the best welcome in my life. But for me Rothschild family is always a sinonim of a top of marketing and high standard of culture and respect for tradition.
Visit only by apointment."

"Discover the beauty of the 🏰 @chateauclercmilon_ GCC1855 in Pauillac, whose renovation was entrusted to the architect Bernard Mazières and the scenographer Richard Peduzzi. Dance is an integral part of the spirit of this estate, notably with the emblematic label of the bottle representing a duo of dancers inspired by the characters of the Comedy dell'Arte. The wines are of remarkable quality, both the grand vin and Pastourelle. Many thanks to Catherine and Richard for this beautiful moment of discovery thanks to your time and your explanations. See you soon 🍷🍇 #winetasting #winelover #wine #winetime"

"Nestled between two First Growth estates, Mouton-Rothschild and Rothschild, Château Clerc Milon, classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, was purchased by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, owner of Mouton-Rothschild, in 1970. The château benefited from a brand-new gravity-flow winery in 2011, but vineyard work had begun long before, and the estate has since expanded considerably. Today, its wines have joined the elite of Bordeaux, having shed their proverbial austerity and far surpassing the level of the Fifth Growths."
