Reviews Summary
La Tour d'Argent offers an unforgettable fine dining experience, celebrated for its stunning panoramic views of Paris and impeccable service. Guests rave about the historic ambiance and the legendary tableside preparation of the pressed duck. While the price point is high, many find the experience, food, and views to be well worth the splurge for a special occasion.
"This historic restaurant, still holding its Michelin star (although used to be 3 stars), is truly a must-visit when in Paris. From the moment you arrive until the final bite, everything about the experience feels special. The service is polished yet genuinely warm...attentive without any trace of snobbery, which is always appreciated.
The dining room view is stunning, with the Seine glistening to the right and the Notre Dame to the left - an iconic Parisian backdrop whether by day or night. We came for lunch this time and shared the duck with blood sauce, beautifully prepared tableside for two, along with langoustine to start. For dessert, we had the Valtesse soufflé, also finished at the table—light, airy, and absolutely divine.
Between the amuse-bouche, palate cleanser, petit fours, and the main dishes, it turned out to be quite a feast. We took our time, savoring every bite while basking in the sunlight streaming through the windows. We began with glasses of Cristal 2015—because really, where else but in France can you casually order your favorite Champagne by the glass?
I also love the adorable post card they give you showing what number duck that you just had. They have served over 1.2 Million ducks since 1890!!
With wine and the three-course menu for two, the total came to around USD 1,100, and I’d say it was worth every penny for the experience, the view, and the impeccable food."
