What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Théâtre Chochotte offers a unique and artistic take on French striptease in an intimate, bohemian setting. Visitors praise the elegant, playful performances and the welcoming atmosphere, especially for couples and solo women. However, the small venue can get uncomfortably crowded, and the lack of on-site refreshments is a minor drawback.
"This is a fun and interesting adult club not far from Notre Dame. We attended as a couple and had a good experience. We came on Thursday around 8pm and stayed until around 12pm. The performances were very good, intimate and interesting, each with its own theme and a lot of passion behind them. There were about 4 performers on rotation throughout the night but many different “shows” each lasting about 15 minutes to keep you interested. Audience participation does happen but it seems to be mostly targeted at front row members who it appears are regulars. There was definitely a rapport between the performers and certain members in the audience who treated the place like their own home and were frankly a bit gross. This brings me to the negative - it is a very small space and when we arrived there was ample room but within an hour it was sardines! They crammed 14 single men and 3 couples in and we were fairly uncomfortable after a while. Sitting shoulder to shoulder with a bloke and his raging hard on while he jeers with his mates breaks the intimacy and eroticism of the show. Clearly these men are VIPs or regulars as they were still pandered to. Overall this was an enjoyable experience but I’d say it varies depending on the night and the other attendees so be warned. Perhaps this is better to come early, even in the afternoon to take advantage of the 12 hour ticket window. Try to get yourself a seat in the front and not crammed under the stairs or in the corner if you want to enjoy it. We’d also recommend bringing a bottle of water as it gets very hot with so many people in there and there is no bar."

"My partner and I visited Théâtre ChoChotte on a Saturday evening around 7:30 pm and ended up staying until closing time. It super cool — something unlike any other burlesque show or strip venue I’ve ever been to. It’s very female and couple friendly, so do not hesitate to go if you are a woman (I am a woman myself).
The concept is quite unique: in a small, intimate theatre space, 15-minute shows follow one another without interruption. Each performance is choreographed by the dancer or duo themselves, in the pure French striptease tradition — elegant, playful, sometimes poetic, sometimes humorous, but never vulgar.
The audience sits close to the small stage which is great and makes the show immersive. What’s great is that you can come and go as you please — your day ticket is valid from 12:30 pm to 12:30 am, so you can step out for dinner or a drink and come back later. It has a real underground chic vibe to it. Not as mainstream and commercial as Moulin Rouge.
Prices (October 2025):
Ladies: €45
Gentlemen: €65
Couples: €100
The theatre doesn’t sell drinks, not even water or soft drinks, but you’re welcome to bring an own closed-lid soft drink.
If you go, bring all of your good energy and your biggest applause. And if you have further questions, just call them, the student working on the phone ist very nice and professional."

"My girlfriend and I went to Théâtre ChoChotte on a Saturday early evening (a good time). The atmosphere is very respectful, elegant, and couple-friendly. It was very artistic and boheme!
You can come and go anytime during the day, some went out for dinner and came back later. The place has a cool underground Parisian vibe to it.
They can’t sell drinks, but you can bring your own soft drink with a lid. Overall, it was a tasteful, exciting night out - definitely worth experiencing as a couple.
We will definitely go again!"
