Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Liberation of Paris Museum for its excellent curation and powerful storytelling, particularly highlighting the immersive augmented reality bunker tour. While some find the content deeply emotional, most appreciate the comprehensive and moving tribute to the French Resistance and the city's liberation. It's considered a must-see for history buffs.

"This is a small but engaging museum. There is much documented about the events of WW II, but this has a distinct French perspective, and obviously, as the name implies, focused on the liberation of Paris. The events leading up to and during the war are documented, as well, to set the context for the liberation.

There is also a bunker tour that you can take, which takes you down into a bunker that was used during he war. The bunker exhibits are simple compared to what's been curated above, but it is still informative and being in the bunker definitely gives a better sense of what life was like.

Staff were helpful and friendly, and entrance was free. Great for an hour or two."

Jeff Eng

"Excellent museum about the occupation and liberation of Paris. The added bonus is the bunker. To visit the bunker, you have to get tickets in person. They're free (so is the museum) and they have different times you can get tickets for. It's a lot of stairs, but it's very cool! Definitely a hidden gem in Paris, especially if you like WWI & WWII history."

Lawana “Mitchi” Walker

"We came across this museum before visiting the Catacombs of Paris, and we’re glad we did. Free entrance, a truly impressive collection about France during WWII and the Liberation of Paris. Plenty of photos and artifacts to explore. Definitely worth a visit!"
