Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Promenade Plantée for its tranquil escape from the bustling city, often comparing it favorably to New York's High Line for its lushness and less commercial feel. It's celebrated as a unique, free urban green space, though some note the lack of amenities directly on the path.

"My adult daughter and I had heard about this beautiful elevated walkway before we went to Paris and it was a must see for us. We are so glad we took the time to experience it. We bought a wonderful picnic lunch at a nearby boulangerie, went up the stairs at the beginning of the walkway and soon found a park bench to sit and enjoy it. The birds were singing, and the sun was shining and everything was starting to bloom, it was just gorgeous! If you want to get nearby getaway from the busyness of Paris and have a soul refreshing, life giving walk, we highly recommend this!"

Janet Courtney

"Went jogging here in around 2000 and just (April 2025) found it back. Then a hidden treasure where I was jogging practically alone. Now (in the morning) for a lot of joggers and dog owners. A beautiful park on an old (partly high) high trailway: the green way. You can jog here for 4,5 km without needing to cross busy streets, it only gets more and more beautiful after every tunnel.

Really recommend to jog here in the early morning when there is no crowd, because it gets really crowded during the day. Beautiful way to experience something special in Paris!

You didn’t know you wanted to find this."

Bob P

"This little part of Paris should not be missed. Its a pleasant way to get a different view of Paris, in a park high above the street. It’s calm and opens up views you otherwise wouldn’t experience. And it’s free :-)"
