What Travellers Say

Guests consistently praise Hotel Splendid Etoile for its exceptional location, offering stunning Arc de Triomphe views and immediate access to the Champs-Élysées and a major metro hub. The staff's warmth and professionalism are frequently highlighted, contributing to a memorable stay. However, some find the room amenities, like traditional keys and the lack of air conditioning in certain rooms, to be somewhat dated.
"Had a great stay here!
We came to Paris for a photoshoot, and the hotel kindly gave us a room with an amazing view.
Even after our flight was delayed for 10 hours, they still kept the room for us.
Super clean, quiet (even right next to the Arc de Triomphe), and the staff were wonderful.
Thanks for making our Paris trip unforgettable!"

"The very first thing we did after arriving in Paris was check into this hotel — and the staff couldn’t have been warmer or more welcoming. When we arrived, it was still too early to check in, but the reception kindly confirmed our booking and stored our luggage for us. Later, after a bit of shopping and lunch, my husband realised he’d accidentally lost our luggage tag — but one of the receptionists actually recognised me by name and brought out our bags straight away (now that’s professional service!).
One of the lovely reception ladies playfully told us she’d given us the best room — 507 — and she wasn’t wrong! It was absolutely amazing — right in front of the Arc de Triomphe, with even the bathroom sharing the same breathtaking view. From the balcony, you could even walk around to the side for a completely different street view. The champagne and macarons waiting for us on arrival, and the in-room breakfast service the next morning, made the stay feel even more special — definitely worth the little extra.
I just have to say — the reception team were all so kind, cheerful, and professional. We felt truly well taken care of, and I absolutely loved their warm service!"

"The rooms are vile and still have an actual key and keychain like a Holiday Inn from 1982. The carpets are stained like a crime scene, and the furniture is very outdated and worn. Americans beware, after summer ends, the hotels in Paris turn off air conditioning, and they turn on radiator heat. You must open the windows and sleep with the busy sounds of Parisian city nights and sirens. The pillows are also like sleeping on a Kleenex.
The team here is VERY nice, and they aim to please with the limited resources available to them. Breakfast is mediocre at best, but the coffee is delicious.
The location is what earns this place 4 stars with Google. We are literal steps from the Arc de Triomphe and the famous Champs élysées."
