What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Active Room Paris offers an innovative and fun interactive gaming experience, particularly praised for its group activities and unique concept. While some visitors found the game instructions unclear and the physical demands high, the overall sentiment highlights the energetic atmosphere, friendly staff, and the dynamic nature of the quiz and grid puzzle rooms.
"A great concept but the reality slightly disappointing.
There are no instructions for the games, they aren't even named so you have to just pick a number between 1 and 27 and guess what it is.
Once you pick a random game there is then like 3 seconds of instructions in French, no other languages available, and then it starts.
I took my son and tried several games. There are some where you work as a team to step on all of the tiles before the time runs out, if you hit a red tile, you lose. It seems simple but the game starts with all black tiles, it counts down from 3 and then all the tiles change colour, nearly half of them are red, but if you happen to standing on a red one when it reaches zero, you lose, but it's impossible to know where they are when zero hits and there are no 'start/safe' zones.
It needs some software updates and instructions in different languages.
I also think for the price, it's probably not worth it."

The Interactive Game Concept
The core idea is to get players moving, thinking, and collaborating (or competing!) within a digital environment projected onto the floor. With over 40 mini-games available, there's a wide range of activities, from strategic puzzles that require precise footwork to quick-reaction challenges that test agility. The goal is often to score points, complete objectives, or simply avoid 'danger' zones on the interactive surface, all within a set time limit.
While the concept is exciting, some visitors have noted that the execution could be improved. A lack of clear instructions in multiple languages and a steep learning curve for some games have been mentioned. However, for groups looking for a novel and energetic activity, the unique interactive nature of Active Room Paris offers a memorable experience that stands out from traditional entertainment options.
Group Dynamics and Teamwork
Sessions are typically for 3 to 15 people, ensuring that everyone can actively participate. The variety of games means there's something for different skill sets, allowing teams to strategize and leverage each other's strengths. The quiz room, in particular, is highlighted as being fantastic and dynamic, perfect for testing collective knowledge.
This makes Active Room Paris an excellent choice for birthday parties, team-building events, or simply a fun outing with a larger group. The energetic environment and shared goals encourage laughter, cheering, and memorable moments, making it a highly recommended spot for social gatherings.
Navigating the Experience: Tips from Visitors
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes is paramount. The games are physically demanding, involving jumping, stepping, and quick movements. Several TikTok videos show people fully engaged in the physical aspect, and comfortable attire will enhance your experience and prevent discomfort.
Finally, while the price is considered affordable for a unique group activity, some reviewers felt that the overall value could be improved with clearer game explanations and perhaps more intuitive game design. Despite these points, the overall sentiment remains positive, with many praising the originality and fun factor, especially for group outings.
