What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hotel Negresco is lauded as an iconic, museum-like palace on Nice's Promenade des Anglais, praised for its stunning art collection, opulent decor, and exceptional, personalized service from its attentive staff. While some older rooms may show signs of age or have limited amenities, the overall experience is consistently described as elegant and unforgettable, especially for those seeking a luxurious and culturally rich stay.
"This is an iconic and beautiful hotel. The art collection is museum worthy and wandering around the hotel was an adventure. The space is beautifully appointed, but unfortunately it is old. The room I stayed in was in an older wing, there was noise and chair scraping until late. The room did not have a balcony, nearly every other room had one.
The staff were warm, helpful and friendly. This was especially appreciated as foreigners traveling. The staff did their best to ameliorate the issues- poor AC, fewer pillows than expected. They were quick and responsive. They cannot be held accountable for the age of the rooms.
The hotel is right off the beach, which is the best spot in Nice. However, Nice was not my favorite place to stay on the Côte D’Azur. It was very full, loads of people, very much a city vibe. At the same time, there were many lovely historic and beautiful buildings around the city."

"An Exceptional Stay, Elegance on the French Riviera
Absolutely the best place to stay on the French Riviera. This hotel is true class and elegance from the moment you arrive. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and filled with natural light. Keep in mind I did not have the best room options purchased.
The room service is excellent, and the concierge team goes above and beyond. They take the time to introduce you to the city, help with restaurant reservations, and arrange everything you might need to make your stay seamless.
The hotel’s beach club is equally impressive. We had lunch there and quality of the food is imoressive. It felt like dining at a fine restaurant rather than just a casual beach spot.
A flawless experience in every way. I can’t wait to return."

"I’ve stayed at some incredible five-star hotels in the past, but nothing compares to Hotel El Negresco. The experience was, by far, the most amazing I've ever had. I can't stop raving about the staff! Juliette and Philippe, the concierges, truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was impeccable; they are the stars of the show. They arranged a car rental for us and recommended the most incredible places to see.
This trip was very important for my family, and Jerome was incredibly attentive from the moment we arrived. He had our keys ready, an umbrella on hand, and ensured that we had everything we needed. The rest of the staff, including Tom and Eric at the front door, were also extremely attentive and welcoming.
I can't forget to mention the wonderful ladies and gentlemen at breakfast. The service was top-tier! I’m sure I’m missing a few names, but every single staff member was amazing. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience, I highly recommend Hotel El Negresco!"
