"A wonderful area, peaceful, arid, and green. Walks can take hours depending on your endurance levels as they interlink. There is a fabulous viewpoint from the watchtower which can be accessed by foot or bike. In winter you rarely meet others so it can be a fabulous place to sit and write, meditate or simply enjoy the tranquility. The terrain can be a little rugged so good hiking shoes help. Parking is available and free in various locations. No water available."

"The Massif de la Clape is a mountainous area of about 15,000 Hectares, between Narbonne and the Mediteranean Coast at Narbonne Plage, Gruissan and St Pierre La Mer.
There are a few roads across the area but the best way to see it is to park the car and walk. One beautiful area to walk in is above the Chappelle Notre Dame des Auzils.
Make sure that you wear stout shoes or walking boots as the terrain can be quite rugged, and also ensure you are carrying enough to drink as it can get hot and the area is very dry in the summer months."

"Great place to hike. Quite steep so wear proper shoes!"
