Visitors praise the Grande Synagogue de Nancy for its historical significance as the second oldest active synagogue in France and its beautiful facade with a meaningful inscription. The warm welcome and insightful explanations from the community are frequently highlighted as a standout aspect of the visit, making it a place of both prayer and memory.

"When I was holidaying in Nancy, I never had the chance to visit inside as it was closed and always in high security. What's really stood out is the impressive façade of the back with inscriptions "Tu aimeras ton prochain comme toi-même" meaning, "You shall love your neighbour as yourself". It's a registered national monument and listed as the second oldest synagogue (built in 1788) in France still in service! It's at Boulevard Joffre which is almost opposite Nancy Prouvé Convention Centre and a couple of minutes walk to Nancy Ville railway station. Beautiful Synagogue, even from the outside and hopefully I'll have the opportunity next time to visit inside."
