"On August 15th, before coming, I took care to check online if the store was open (not living in Montélimar), and it was indicated that it was.
8:30 a.m./7:30 p.m. Assumption Day; hours may vary.
I entered the store while shopping, and I heard "you barely have 5 minutes." I turned around and saw one of the cashiers walking away.
And 2 minutes later, she approached another customer to tell her they were closing. It was only then that I understood what was going on. (I saw the sign as I left the store.)
So I headed to the checkout rather angry because I had taken care to check the opening hours before leaving, and what's more, I didn't get a hello or a polite way to let me know that it was actually closing time. Well, ladies and gentlemen, don't be surprised that when I went to the checkout, you received a response that matched the welcome you gave me.
As for management, consider the people who travel far to get here, not just by putting a sign in front of the storefront, but also online.
In any case, I sincerely believe that nothing justified not having a hello, such a poor welcome.
You don't want customers on a public holiday, so own up to it, close your doors on public holidays.
As for the cashier, "You barely have 5 minutes," this isn't the first time you've been unpleasant, so whether it's closing time or a public holiday, I'm telling you, you're hurting your company and other colleagues.
You don't understand anything about business!! And you're not cut out for it."
