"Very important part of the second world war."

"French fortification at an altitude of 2529 meters that dominates the Monginevro Pass. If the first military works date back to the end of the nineteenth century, the last ones are from the thirties and for a few days they exchanged cannon fire with the opposite Italian fort on Chaberton. Obviously everything is in an excellent panoramic position. It is forbidden to access the interior of the ruins (almost all closed!) because they are unsafe. It can be reached with a long walk (or bike ride) from Montgenevre, or you can take advantage of the chairlifts that take you up to an altitude of 2400. It's worth it."
