It's highly recommended for families due to its interactive nature and park activities. However, some guests noted that demonstrations are primarily in French, and the on-site restaurant can be busy and pricey.
"This is a fantastic day out - an amazing array of artefacts and workshops available all day (it would be great if these could also be delivered in another language for those of us who don't speak French - either Spanish or English would be great, as there were lots of other Spanish visitors there also).
The girl on the ticket desk (should have asked her name, but didn't - she was wearing a beautiful necklace made by her sister) was incredibly helpful and welcoming.
This is definitely a museum that we will visit again, and we very much hope that the forge will be restored to working order in the future."

"This is a great place to visit. The museum is interesting and you can go back to school and write your name in script from 1904 with pens and ink based on that time. Then onto the forge to see how the metal was worked and the noise it produced. Finally a walk though time following a death and a marriage and a birth during the 20th century. Very well managed and run by the staff. There is a bistro there where we had a large meal! Salad, cassoulet and blueberry tart. We were part of a group so it is probably best to check on activities mentioned to see if you need to book."

"Lovely setup of old medieval village life. The different occupations and their tools well displayed and discussed."
