The educational exhibits in the K2 building are also well-received, offering valuable context about the naval base. Some find the K3 guided tour challenging due to the language barrier, but overall, it's considered a worthwhile and emotional visit for many.
"The exhibitions before the tour is very interesting and informative. The audio tour inside the Flore is just perfect.
My two girls (18 and 8) enjoyed the museum too.
It was an emotional moment for me as I did my first dive in La Flore in 1984 during military service. I feel very lucky I'm able to visit a boat I was once a crew (even for a very short time only). The other submaribe based in Lorient I spend most time on was sent to the scrapyard. I will be back to visit the base (again).
Merci!"

"We took the English speaking tour of the K3 building and then we did the submarine museum with the walk though of the submarine and it was well worth the trip."
George Andison
"Amazing history, I didn't manage to get on the U-boat which I'm sure would have been great. Seeing the history of the port is very educational and great few hours out. Little food stalls around when you get hungry too"

The experience is enhanced by the ability to truly feel what it was like to live and work in such a confined environment. It’s a stark contrast to modern living and offers a profound appreciation for the submariners' dedication.
