"Very inexpensive site if you're into Charles Degaulle's life not a bad place to visit an hour is all you need"

Bert Goro

"Lovely house Museum of Charles de Gaulle and an interesting Insight into his early childhood life when living in Lille in his grandparents house. However. Very little info in each room so you definitely need an audio guide.
We were so disappointed that after having been thru the majority of the house , the audio guide stopped, all info was then only in French?? Why no other language?
And all info about Sport in France in the 40s to 60s?? Most odd. Where is the relevance. No mention of CDG war record/army record. What a huge missed opportunity as this is how people know CDG and want to understand how he managed the armies of France ..most strange"

This isn't a museum about his presidency or military career, but rather a deeply personal exploration of his childhood and family roots in Lille. Visitors can expect to be transported back in time, with rooms meticulously restored to reflect the period.
