"If you head out of Les Sables d’Olonne along the coast towards Talmont St Hilaire you will come across the Puits d’Enfer - the wells of hell!
There is a large car park on the side of the road and you can walk just a few meters to wards the edge where you will see the waves crashing against the granite cliffs - try to arrive at high tide for the best effect.
Please note there are no barriers along the cliffs, so this may not be suitable for young children, or dogs if they are not on a lead."
