"Wonderful place to visit, from Grenoble city either you can come here by bus and after that it's almost 50 minutes hiking or by car it has direct road till gate of the fort almost 30 minutes of driving.
The whole Grenoble city laying beneath this place. Amazing mountainous view.

"Great views from here and some of the exhibits are free to visit. You can hike or drive here and the hike from here on the ridge is beautiful down to the village from which you can take the bus back to the city."

If driving you can drive all the way to the top where there is a gravel parking area for about 6 cars. If this is full then a bigger area is just slightly down the hill. The drive is fine for all cars, well paved.
The fort itself is great. It’s free to enter and walk around the exterior which is what we did. Fantastic views over Grenoble and the surrounding mountains."
