Reviews Summary
Les Bains des Docks offers a unique architectural experience and affordable aquatic fun, with many praising its value and family-friendly atmosphere. However, some visitors have encountered strict swimwear rules and a less-than-welcoming vibe, suggesting a need for clear communication on etiquette.
"From my - Polish - perspective, incredibly affordable (you won't find any pool in Poland for 5 EUR/day in that standard. Staff very nice and helpful. You can even buy swimming equipment with an attractive price on spot."

"I came from the cruise ship 🚢. What a great experience, hanging out with the locals. I couldn't find any reviews because this place just reopened, so I'll tell you everything you need to know. It is a community pool, and the entrance fee is only 5 euro. I paid 13 euro so I could access the "Zen" section which includes two saunas, a hamman (steam room), an adult swim area. I tried coming with swimming trunks but they don't allow those. You need speedos or those tight swim wear. okay, I respect that. So I headed down the block to Decathlon and bought the tiniest swimsuit I ever wore for 5 euro. All good, be like the locals.
Just another heads up, they don't have towels, so you can bring a small gym towel from the cruise ship and you'll be good. They have free lockers.
The gym area upstairs was closed, but it looked really nice.
This is not your usual sauna spa experience, it's more of a family pool center with a separate area for adults to escape.
Was fun! Outdoor pool was nice because it was a sunny day in October. Indoor pools is a series of waterways and paths of blue that compliment the architecture of the building."

"Today I visited the place with my underage kids. It looks nice, but as soon as we entered the atmosphere turned off, everyone seemed to stare as if we didn’t belong. The rules felt odd, especially the requirement to wear a special-material swimsuit after only 10mn of my kids swimming which didn’t make sense since my kids were already wearing a Speedo-style swim shorts they use at their swimming club in Tampa(FL). Overall, it’s disappointing; appealing on the surface but the welcome and the attitude left a bad impression. Just a weird and snobish atmosphere.
PS: God bless the USA for real this time 🇺🇸"

Architectural Marvel by Jean Nouvel
Visitors often comment on the unique aesthetic, with one reviewer noting that the building 'looking a bit tired and could do with some tlc' but still appreciating its design. The interplay of light, especially on a sunny day, is a key element, though one concern was raised about potential brightness.
The overall design aims to create a welcoming and functional space for both community swimming and relaxation, blending the practical needs of a public pool with artistic vision. It's a testament to how public spaces can be both utilitarian and aesthetically inspiring.
Navigating the Swimwear and Etiquette
Beyond swimwear, some visitors have reported an atmosphere that felt unwelcoming or 'snobbish,' with a feeling of being stared at. This perception, particularly for families with children, contrasted with the facility's appeal on the surface. It's worth noting that experiences can vary, and many others have found the staff to be 'very nice and helpful.'
It's recommended to be aware of these social cues and rules to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable visit. Bringing your own towel and shampoo is also a practical tip, as these amenities are not provided.
