Special events can add a lively dimension to the park experience.

"The Park is nice enough for a walk but not something I would make the effort to see from a tourist perspective. The ruins are small and not a lot of information with them. The villa is okay but not amazing. We ended up leaving the tour early."

Christina Huynh

"Never do you see a park in all of France like this you can just drive into! So there’s that. Then the aqueduct itself. So cool, so ahead of its time. A closer look got us talking about what a hurry they must have been in when they built it (old rocks boulder mashed together inside, vs exterior got tidier and nicer stones). Also the HUGE effort that went into building up the giant pillars-especially in one place you can see just how large the thing was, compared to the relatively narrow area designed to transport the water. Such care, so vital to promote its flow. In another place you can see tidy brick masonry from WW time-probably pretty close to how it actually looked back then in 1930s. “Well, it’s here, we may as well figure out how to use it, we can’t do this war without providing water for hospitals and military camps”—after seeing this you can see how politicians/generals/ engineers might have thought in that way."
