"Total immersion experience of the architectural philosophy of Le Corbusier. We live in an apartment in a building he designed, walked to the church he designed which also serves a gallery with rotating exhibits, and visited the exhibitions at the museum. A tiny coffee and pastry shop for take out and is right across the street from the church, and there in plain site, but almost impossible to find in a circular building. Take your coffee on a bench in the nearby park. Beautiful, inspiring, transporting, transformational. Make the commitment to travel to Firminy, look to book a room in the Le Corbusier housing the flats have incredible views across the entire valley. And, if you stay on foot, you’ll get some great exercise walking the hill between your room and the other Corbusier sites. A must for enthusiasts of architecture!"
