"Church of Our Lady of Cluny
Built from 1159 to 14th century this pearl still stands proudly admits the quaint town of Cluny , mid France . The architecture from that era is just something to behold and must be admired as to how the engineers , builders and architects of the time were able to construct such a marvel that has without doubt has stood the test of time , the floor seems to be original and shows the west and tare of time but still stands strong , the pillars and arches are just simply amazing, there are plenty of statues and wall art , the alter is massive with a huge cross above it , I love the Organ but unfortunately no one there to play it the day I was there , as in all these majestic churches the seating is simple, made of wooded seats adjoined by a wood pole screwed to the front legs of each chair , not particularly comfortable chairs but serve the purpose for paying homage . This church is set in the middle of the town and parking close by would be hard but there are plenty of close by car parks. A very interesting building to visit and I do recommend you to so for the architecture alone."

"This building has suffered from the elements. Inside, it is still well preserved. There are some striking details, including a stained-glass window depicting Joseph with carpenter's tools. There is also a (possibly controversial today) wooden sculpture of a missionary (with a chain in his hand) and an African child on a boat. This unsavory aspect of Christianity is part of our past and needn't be hidden with historical context. All in all, a fascinating visit. Free admission."
