Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Embarcadère Isnor Clairmarais for its beautiful canal boat tours, offering a serene way to experience the local wildlife and countryside. The simple, excellent food and pleasant atmosphere are also frequently highlighted, making it a recommended stop for relaxation and exploration.
"A beautiful day and thought messing around in boats would be ideal - if only there was a perfect place… here we found it. There is a website to pre book trips but we just rocked up (around lunchtime) and the next guided trip was at 2:00. There were plenty of motorboats, (canoes or kayaks too if you’re fit enough!) and a choice of 1,2 or 3 hour trips.
Given a 15 minute tutorial (if you speak French it’s probably best - I don’t do a lot of nodding) and you’re off following a map and a route across canals through the waterways. A perfect 2 hours spent admiring the countryside and seeing the wildlife.
While I’m not sure my back could cope with the third hour this is a brilliant way to explore and cannot recommend enough We will definitely be back."
