However, parking can be a challenge, and the area can become very crowded, especially during peak ski season.

"Great views of mountains and town in valley. Lots of hiking trails up there. Good value, no reservations needed. For the cable car and the additional ski lift ride up to “Index”, it was 41 euros."

Jody Solomon

"At the midpoint of the cable car, there is a restaurant, a kiosk, and, of course, a stunning view and multiple opportunities for magnificent hikes. We did the Grand Balcon Sud trail and then ascended back to Chamonix via the Brévent cable car station. There’s also an additional open cable car just a few steps away.
Parking can fill up quickly, so it’s better to take the bus to get here. This also gives you more flexibility to return by a different route if you wish."

"It was very clean
The staff are very friendly and the way to La Flégère is quite simple
The buses to the station are free if you have the ski pass.
There are such amazing slopes at the top and the green ones are brilliant.
Definitely coming back!"
