What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors love Marché Saint-Martin for its incredible deals on designer goods, unique vintage finds, and the thrill of discovery. The friendly atmosphere and the chance to negotiate prices make it a rewarding shopping experience. Some find the market's offerings can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on the day, and it can get quite crowded.
"I love this market full of gems. You have to know how to open your eyes to find the beauties hidden there. Last time I found a pair of Falke cotton socks for €8 at David and Carole, children born in this market, the same for their children who unpack there too. It’s great luxury, sold for more than 30 euros a pair at Le Bon Marché in Paris. I found original perfumes of course, beautiful sweaters in all colors for 29 euros, at Jean and Joëlle. You will find beautiful handbags for 60 to 80 euros at Georges, who travels all over France and even Italy to buy his lots. These bags are sold for more than 300 euros in spring. Christophe offers you LPs, alternating with lots of houses, decorations, gardening....depending on the seasons you also have lots from Alex, always the latest trends. It's the darling of customers. We are notified of new batches by SMS, the number of pieces and the brands.
A friendly, friendly place, every day it's different, it's not always the same hawkers. Busy days tend to be Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
To complete your good deals, I would advise you to have lunch at Bouche à Oreille, 100 meters away, rue Massillon. It is better to book. You will find this amazing restaurant in my publications. The chef worked on cruise ships. Everything is made with market products.
Happy shopping, browse, ask, try, and.....enjoy your meal.
