What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Les Arcs Bike Park offers a thrilling experience with a wide range of trails for all levels, praised for its stunning mountain scenery and excellent courses for children. However, potential visitors should be cautious about bike rental quality, as some reviews report issues with maintenance and customer service.
"We hired 2 bikes from the store, which was at first worth the low cost, they offer a €5 insurance cost which for the bikes they have is a scam, within one lap of a green route one bike had to be returned due to no front brake pads, on the first attempt of a longer route the second bike had to be freefalled back to the store as the chain snapped, and the store was not impressed that we wasn't able to locate the missing link on the track, this overall was poor. Having met another group who also had repeated issues with brakes and chains, this store is not recommended at all."

"Very nice mountain bike rental shop. The beginner and advanced courses for children are great. The outings and hikes for adults are just as great. The instructors are super friendly, the equipment is high-quality, and the reception staff are really very pleasant. 10/10 for having a place like this in the fantastic BIKE PARK of Les Arcs."

"Very bad experience.
The rental companies were not friendly at all.
I punctured both my tires on the first descent, with one of them visibly worn. When I returned, I simply reported the incident to them without expecting anything more, and they explained that the tire was new without any excuse, taking me for an idiot.
Furthermore, they didn't explain the folding seat system before departure and didn't provide any directions around the resort.
I do not recommend it at all. Go to the competition."

Consider booking lessons or guided outings specifically designed for families to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience. The stunning mountain scenery also provides a beautiful backdrop for family adventures.
💰 Budget Travelers
For bike rentals, compare prices between different shops and be wary of the cheapest options if reviews suggest poor maintenance. Bike Rental Experiences: A Mixed Bag
Several reviews specifically mention a lack of helpfulness from rental staff when problems arise, with some customers feeling unfairly blamed for mechanical failures. There's also a recurring theme of insufficient pre-ride checks and a lack of basic instruction on bike features like adjustable seat posts. If you opt for rentals, it's highly recommended to thoroughly inspect your bike before departing the shop. Check the brakes, tire pressure, chain, and gears. Consider asking for a demonstration of any unfamiliar components.
