What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Belfry for its historical significance, affordable entry, and spectacular panoramic views of Boulogne-sur-Mer. While some find the guided tours could offer more detail, the building's architecture and the rewarding climb are consistently highlighted as major positives.
"Nice cityhall, worth the climb to the to of the 'beffroi', very cheap."
Mr Van Damme
"A must-see if you're passing through Boulogne, as much for its beauty, its history, as for the panoramic view it offers of the city.
It can be visited from the town hall. You'll start with the superb stained-glass window of Godfrey of Bouillon, then climb the hundred or so steps to the summit, stopping at the various levels. Both the climb and the guided tour are truly worth it!
Note the narrowness of the stairs for those who are claustrophobic or have difficulty moving around."
Caroline Caulier
"Very impressive guided tour that's well worth it!!!"
