"Sympathetic restoration of a period property, super friendly and helpful staff, creating a wonderful atmosphere in a prime location for visiting the centre of Beaune. Loved it !"

"Le Remparts Hotel is a charming gem in the heart of Beaune. We experienced nothing but a positive experience. The rooms were large and well appointed. The lobby, courtyard, dining area and small bar were great. It was so comfortable we didn't want to leave! This is a great hotel for the money and their service was top notice."

"I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Les Remparts in Beaune, and I must say that the overall experience was quite disappointing. While the hotel had some positive aspects, the negatives outweighed them significantly.
Firstly, the Junior Suite we were assigned was located on the ground floor, right next to a high-traffic area. This meant that throughout the day, other guests were constantly passing by our room, forcing us to keep the curtains drawn for privacy. This lack of natural light made the room feel claustrophobic and took away from the enjoyment of our stay.
Furthermore, the breakfast area was situated directly in front of our room, leading to a constant buzz of activity from as early as 8:00 am. This made it impossible to sleep in or enjoy a peaceful morning. We decided against having breakfast at the hotel, as the additional charge of €23 seemed excessive. However, we did expect basic service when we requested a cappuccino before heading out for our own breakfast. Unfortunately, the staff completely ignored us, and after waiting for 15 minutes, we had to voice our complaints.
To add to our disappointment, upon returning from breakfast, we found that the bed had been neatly made, but the bathroom had not been touched. The towels we had left in the sink for replacement were still there, unchanged. This lack of attention to detail and cleanliness was unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber.
Overall, our experience at Hotel Les Remparts was far from satisfactory. The staff's indifference and lack of hospitality left us feeling like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment to others."
