"We had a really nice visit. The man who showed us around really tried to give us good information even though we don't speak Finnish. If you are interested in the topic you should definitely visit it. Entrance is free!"
Marek Visser
"A must-see for those interested in military history – and why not for those interested in history or the culture of border regions. The museum presents the history of the Border Guard in detail from its founding to the present day. The exhibition is divided into different rooms, and there is a wide selection of different objects, uniforms and maps on display – you can even hold a Suomi machine gun in your hands!
The guide kindly met us at the gate and led us to the museum. He spoke expertly and vividly about both the exhibition and the stages of the Border Guard. The visit lasted (at least in my case) just over an hour, about half of which was a guided part and the other half a self-guided tour – I would have liked to have stayed longer.
The car was conveniently left a stone's throw away in the parking lot next to the garrison gates. There is a toilet in the museum, but there is no café or other catering.
You must register for the museum at least two days in advance."

"Interesting place. It's worth taking advantage of the open doors. Otherwise, you can visit by making an appointment."
