What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Olympic Stadium Tower for its incredible value and breathtaking panoramic views of Helsinki. While some find the top platform a bit exposed, the accessible lift and historical insights make it a worthwhile and atmospheric visit for many, especially those interested in sports or seeking a unique city perspective.
"Whilst in Helsinki, I visited the Tower of the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. It’s a rather imposing structure dating back to the 1930’s, and you can climb to the very top. It was only 7 euros for entry, which I thought was amazing value. Luckily there is a lift so you don’t have to climb all those stairs!
There aren’t many tall structures in Helsinki, so it really did give you an incredible view across the city. There was also some information about the history of the stadium and its links with the city too. If you’re interested in sport, the Olympics or just want to get a great view of the city, I’d highly recommend a visit."

Visitors often remark on the incredible value of the admission fee, which grants access to breathtaking 360-degree views. Unlike some modern skyscrapers, the tower retains a certain atmospheric charm, partly due to its age and historical significance. The journey to the top is made easy by a lift, ensuring accessibility for most visitors.
While the primary draw is the panoramic vista, the tower also houses exhibits detailing the stadium's past. This includes its role in hosting major athletic events and its connection to Finnish sporting heroes. It’s a place where you can not only see Helsinki but also feel its sporting heritage.
Navigating the Views: What to Expect
Travelers often highlight the impressive clarity of the views, especially on a sunny day. However, it's worth noting that the top platform is described as being small and exposed. While a safety cage is in place, those with a fear of heights might find it a bit daunting. The wind can also be a factor, adding to the exposed feeling.

It’s a perspective that adds depth to the experience, connecting the visual spectacle with the site’s historical importance.
