What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Villa Elfvik Nature House for its beautiful Art Nouveau architecture, serene natural setting within the Laajalahti Nature Reserve, and its charming cafe offering delicious treats like salmon soup and pastries. It's highlighted as a peaceful escape, ideal for families and nature lovers, though some note its small size.
"Lovely place to visit, great location! It’s quite small, but would be mostly interesting for families with small children, I think. They also have very nice cafe here!"

"This is a wonderful Art Noveau style Villa (built 1904) in a very nice Nature Reserve Area of Laajalahti. The forests in the nature reserve are herb-rich forests or deciduous forests in flood meadows. They have good paths and even long duckboards. The surrounding area has two bird watch towers for the bay and its large reedbed offers a perfect place for nesting for tens of different species of birds.
The Villa offers a cozy cafe with delicious pastry (both salt and sweet). The service is friendly and prices ok. City of Espoo maintains a permanent nature centre and its exhibition (free entrance). There are outside tables for safe catering too. In Villa Elfvik and the nature reserve you easily forget being in the middle of an urban area. If you are by bike - I would recommend driving around the whole Laajalahti bay. It is about 18 km and it has many lovely terraces to stop for a beer or a cafe."
