What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Namotu Island is celebrated for its stunning location, world-class surfing, and abundant water activities. Guests often praise the warm Fijian hospitality and the intimate, family-like atmosphere. However, some reviews mention issues with surf etiquette and mixed experiences with the dining quality.
"Unfortunately some of the "surf coaches" from Namotu resort have no manners at the line up. They will push beginner or intermediate students on waves that people are surfing already. On small days its not bad but on bigger days was insane to see this happening. No waiting for their turn or bring people in sea doos to the point on small days, constantly polluting water and very noisy around you. They treat it like they own the ocean. One of the "surf guides" threaten me that I he wants he will kick me out of the wave, because their guest are always first because they live in the island. I respectfully told one of his guest to stop yelling at people. They were calling out for waves that people were already surfing and they were snaking them after. I wish theire resort manager invest on some education for their guides so they can create a better atmosphere in the water and not just push people on waves. Lets share some surfing etiquette with the guest and lead by example. Happy free waves!"

"We enjoyed an unforgettable great holiday last week, all people are nice and warm, unique tiny island, great water activities, snorkelling to visit the giant clams, crystal water, colourful Coral and fishes; surfing with several great spots aside of the island, right and left, different waves for all pro and beginners; Great fishing experience with giant yellow fin Tuna, king mackerel; nice food, cocktails and fruits as well.
All people including the staffs and guests are nice, enjoyed those small groups families environment, especially thanks management team, check and make sure everyone are happy all the time; very kind and professional life guard with his team to make sure all guests are safe with all of the water activities. Local staff are polite and kind, nice as families to make everyone happy and enjoy the holidays. Also great to meet and make some new friends.
