"It’s very hard to get there but it’s very worthy to visit this very old church. An old father accepted me 300 for the visit. Then he unlock the door let me in. I was shocked at that time. An 1700 years old building just was there. I am the first guy to visit this place. Seems no one came here for such a long time so that father even forgotten price of donation. What an amazing experience that after climbing for nearly 1h and then saw this great historic church even it might be forgotten for not short time."

"Well if what they say is correct, then this is one of the very oldest Christian churches still partially standing on earth. Definitely worth the hassle of getting there. Beware, Google will try to send you through the new presidential palace, go around the back."

"Just 1 hour walk from center of city. (Via German Embassy) Neglected history from 4th century. Most part of roofing has fallen and remains are seen on ground. Caretakers of the church live in the compound probably you have to call out when you arrive. If you have 4×4 , you can drive all the way to the church via Yeka Michael church. Just follow Google map or strava ."
