Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Energy Discovery Centre for its highly interactive and engaging exhibits, making it a fun and educational experience for all ages. The hands-on approach to learning about energy is a major draw, with many highlighting the Plasma Ball and Tesla Coil. While the planetarium shows are primarily in Estonian, the multilingual signage and friendly staff ensure accessibility for international visitors. Some minor issues with exhibit functionality have been noted, but overall, it's a highly recommended destination.

"Awesome place for both kids and adults. So many stuff to play with. Having a lot of interactive thing sis really a plus point. You can see how does a Tesla coil work and there is a tiny planetarium too. They announce before they start a show. Unfortunately it is delivered only in Estonian. Therefore, you many miss the show if you don't understand the local language. Wide range of practical scientific experiments in a compact place. Walking distance both from the old town and the harbour. Staff is also very nice and friendly. You have free of charge locker facilities if you want to leave your bags or stuff in there. I saw that many kids were having a real fun in this place. Also, adults even have so many things to learn. Especially for science enthusiasts at ANY age. Highly recommended."

Rehan Mendis

"Very informative and fun museum for kids and adults to learn about energy production now and throughout the year. The museum is in a former electricity plant and the setting contributes to the learning opportunity. Lots of information on the solar panels, tap water in Estonia, energy sources, and old style generators. Visitors can try their luck to turn on the light while cycling or using different methods. Very informative. The shows are also impressive with a large faraday cage. Some additional ear coverings for little ones could be useful (or to encourage adults to provide for children).
The basement level has several toys to keep children engaged (Duplo, wooden train, hot wheels, ball drops, etc). Some exhibits were super useful to understand physics while some photo/ video montages linked to the skull were a bit out of place. All in together as of August 2025 most experiments work well. The little kids play room could use a deep cleaning or revamp entirely. Adults entrance fee is 15€. Planetarium not included - which seems to excessive. We will return !"

"A lot of fun for adults, young people, kids and toddlers. Basically for everyone! Interesting things to see, but also hands on acitivities."
