What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Queens' Pyramids to be a fascinating, less crowded alternative to the main attractions, offering a more intimate glimpse into royal history. While smaller and showing signs of wear, their solitude and the panoramic views from the area are highly praised. Some note the presence of litter and touts, but the overall experience is considered worthwhile for history lovers seeking a quieter exploration.
"A Hidden Gem Beside the Giants! The Pyramids of the Queens may be smaller than the famous ones of the kings, but they’re just as fascinating in their own way. Tucked near the Great Pyramid, these elegant structures were built for the wives and mothers of pharaohs, offering a more intimate glimpse into ancient royal life.
The site is usually quieter, which makes it perfect for exploring without the crowds. You can really appreciate the craftsmanship and the sense of history, all while enjoying a peaceful moment in the shadow of the great pyramids. A must-visit for history lovers looking beyond the main attractions."

"Visited the Giza Plateau on 8 October 2022.
This is the furthest point on the Plateau from the main entrance and is also the quietest. If you do not want to be pestered by the touts and the scammers come to this part of the Plateau.
These are the Queens Pyramids and while small as viewed as part of the whole complex are still impressive. You can wander around them all almost by yourself as very few tourists actually trek here from the two main pyramids. If you do walk here make sure to walk over to the panorama points on the hill opposite to get a view of all the pyramids. Please note that you do not need a horse or camel to get here you can easily walk. Just make sure you take some water and take the empty bottles with you instead of discarding them. The amount of rubbish strewn around the site is simply staggering and the worst thing is that the Egyptian guardians don't care.....all they want is your money."
