What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for establishments on the Nile Corniche are mixed. While many praise the stunning Nile views and convenient locations, some highlight issues with service, food quality, and maintenance. The 'Mamsha Ahl Misr' promenade generally receives positive feedback for its accessibility and atmosphere.
"One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The location is decent, but everything else was truly disappointing—from the food to the service and, most importantly, the safety and trustworthiness of the staff.
We accidentally left a gold bracelet in the room early in the morning when checking out. As soon as we realized (just a few hours later after arriving in Luxor), we immediately contacted the hotel through our new hotel manager (who spoke Arabic) to avoid any miscommunication. Despite several follow-ups over two days, the response from the Pyramisa Island Hotel was vague and ultimately unhelpful. When I asked directly whether my bracelet had been stolen and if they were taking responsibility, I received no reply at all.
In addition to this disturbing experience, the hotel itself was in poor condition. The food was terrible, the service unprofessional, and the breakfast—already included in our booking—still came with additional charges for items like coffee. On multiple occasions, we returned to our room to find it smelling of cigarette smoke, clearly coming from the cleaning staff. Even the manager had to come and spray the room because the odor was unbearable.
This hotel not only failed to provide basic hospitality—it left us with a deep sense of violation. I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider staying here."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) – A Relaxing Stay in a Stunning Location
I had a wonderful time at Pyramisa Island Aswan—the location is absolutely fantastic, surrounded by the peaceful Nile and beautiful views. The resort’s serene atmosphere made it a perfect getaway.
The staff were very kind and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable. A special highlight was the massage—it was truly relaxing and well worth it!
The food was decent, though I felt the selection was a bit limited, especially for longer stays. Adding more variety would make the dining experience even better.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Pyramisa Island for a tranquil retreat with great service. With a few improvements in the dining options, it could be a 5-star experience!"

"AVERAGE and DISAPPOINTING!
The only good thing about this hotel is its location!
We paid $350 a night through Booking.com for this hotel. Everything goes well till you enter the hotel. It’s dated, worn out and full of fake plants.
The reception staff was perfunctory, no welcome, nothing.
Wifi doesn’t work, the rooms are clean but the bathroom is poorly designed. Every time you shower there is a pool of water on the floor. The public bathrooms are dirty.
They charge for coffee at breakfast and give you Nescafe packets.
Staff seem disinterested!
Overall a very disappointing experience and waste of the money we paid.
Do not go by the pictures on the internet, that’s not how the hotel looks inside.
Avoid at all costs!!"
