While the lack of English captions is a common drawback, many find the visual content engaging and appreciate the helpfulness of available guides. The unique Comicteca is also a highlight for many.
"Beautiful. I love that it's available for everyone to visit at no cost. They should take donations at the door to keep taking care of the art and offer community programming."

"If you have an hour or so to spare this is worth a look. Sadly all the information is in Spanish so if you don't speak the language you don't get the full experience. There was a helpful guide who spoke English though and answered questions for us. There is a very interesting Natural History Section (if you don't mind seeing stuffed animals) and a lot about the history of Guayaquil illustrated with dioramas. There are also some shrunken heads...which are fascinating."
