What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Montañita is celebrated as an awesome beach and party destination with affordable stays and dining. Visitors love the surf, soft sand, and vibrant nightlife. However, concerns about safety, particularly the risk of robbery, and the significant issue of beach pollution during peak times are notable drawbacks.
"Awesome beach and party place. Many places to stay and eat at an affordable rate. You can do just about anything here, smoke, drink and party. The only down fall is the possibility of being robbed so if you go, don't go alone and don't take anything from anyone in the streets. Due to the pandemic the party life was near nothing."
Evan Asplund
"Really cool and relaxed town. Lots of locals which is always a great sign. If you enjoy hanging out at the beach and drinking at night this is a great place to visit. Even on the off season it was still pretty busy, I can only imagine what it must be like during the high season."
Eric Rudberg
"Super soft sand, great surfing with few rocks and consistent waves, lots of great food options on the beach and very safe."
