The abundance of marine life, especially sharks and turtles, is a major draw, with both snorkelers and divers reporting incredible sightings. While some mention strong currents, most find the experience manageable and highly recommend it for its unique natural beauty and wildlife encounters.
"Such an amazing location to visit. I did a few dives here while my, generally non aquatic, wife did some snorkeling. This location is perfect for everyone. The currents are not too strong and the surface not too rough (my wife gets sea sick easily and had NO issues here). On my dives I saw an array of different sharks (Galapagos, Hammerheads, reef sharks), sea turtles, etc. Highly recommended and I cannot wait to return."

"Small beautiful rock a little offshore north of San Cristobal full of live and colours. His name came from his shape like a sleeping lion. That is the place where to dive or make snorkeling. There are no way to disembark.. But be careful because sometimes the current could be strong...Plenty of sharks (hammer and small ones), turtles and various fishs. It is also full of birds like the red fregate... Highly recommended"

"This is a very nice place for snorkeling and diving! We've been there on a guided tour and it was magical. You can see there a lot marine life (of course it always depends on the weather conditions). I've been lucky and saw a hammerhead shark as well as some other types of sharks. Sea turtles, colorful fishes from tiny to big and big swarms of fishes. It's a great feeling when you get pushed into the "canyon" by the waves and get in the next moment pulled out while you watch the fishes underneath doing the same movement."
