What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Home of Carlsberg for its engaging, modern, and interactive exhibits that beautifully tell the brand's history. The beer tasting is a highlight for many, and the opportunity to customize a bottle makes for a great souvenir. Some note that it focuses more on history than live brewing and that prices can be high, but overall, it's considered a worthwhile experience for beer fans and history buffs alike.
"Awesome interactive exhibition that dives into the history of Carlsberg and their brewing process. We got tickets for both the exhibition and the beer tasting session — and it was definitely worth it!
There were plenty of interactive games and visuals, and the best part is you can download everything after your visit. The beer tasting was a highlight — super informative and gave us a deeper appreciation for their special brews. Also, don’t miss the chance to customize your own Carlsberg bottle — such a fun souvenir!
Highly recommended for anyone curious about beer!"

"If u are up for a history lesson.. This might be the pace you wanted to pay a visit. I have to say, they really used the latest technology to allow you to self tour yourself. My disappointment is you only get the history of Carlsberg. You don’t to see how the beer is being brewed. The main brewery is located west of Denmark. I thought we paid to see how the great Carlsberg are being made but we were loaded with the history of the founder. Well, the very least we got was the pint of beer at the end of the tour. This will be a one off visit and it’s located about 15mins from the city centre by bike. I think there are plenty of places to visit in the city centre than this."

"Entry was free with the Copenhagen Card.
Be sure to come here by electric bike — the ride is absolutely stunning. Also, make sure to set aside enough time for your visit. Unfortunately, we arrived just 50 minutes before closing time, but since the tours last 1.5 hours, you’re required to arrive at least 1.5 hours before closing. So don’t plan to come here at the very end of your day.
Still, we were able to see the open bar, stables, and souvenir shop. Since we missed the tour, they kindly offered us a beer. The horses were adorable, and there was live music in the garden."
