Anything I should do before I leave?
I've been studying in Copenhagen since January as a US student studying abroad and only have a few weeks before the semester ends. I'm gonna travel around Europe over the summer but thought I'd ask some locals if there's anything I should do or see in Copenhagen before I leave.…
What’s the best way to get a canal tour?
I heard or hey captain as a potential company but there are also companies that offer boats that you can ride yourself? I want the definitive Copenhagen experience. Is there a specific company or type of boat I should be looking for? Thank you.

Hey Captain Canal Boat Trips
Does anyone have experience with this company? https://www.heycaptain.dk/ I am looking for a boat ride around the canals for a trip with my wife in a few weeks and this company seemed like a nice option. At 200 dkk an hour the price seems reasonable too

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Copenhagen harbor tours are widely recommended as a fantastic way to get acquainted with the city's landmarks from a unique perspective. Visitors appreciate the informative guides and the picturesque views, especially from Nyhavn. While some find it a bit pricey, most agree it's a worthwhile experience for tourists seeking an overview of Copenhagen's charm and history.
"Not exactly a bargain, but still very good experience if you want to take in some of Copenhagen and get a feel for it from the water side. If you want to do the city, the hop on hop-off bus probably provides a similar experience, but the water-borne experience is a lot more intimate. It's a couple of hours till that takes you around through the inner Port and and the little area that looks a lot like Amsterdam, but at a much slower Pace than the import, which allows you to take in the ambience and all the sights of the area."

"Always a delight to see Copenhagen from the canals. The tour guide informs about the attractions, like The Little Mermaid, The Stock Exchange Building, Amalienborg Castle, The Opera.
Recommended for tourists."

"I know it's a very touristy thing to do, but the Canal tour is definitely worth it! It's a very good activity when you get in Copenhagen and want to get situated in the city. It's actually not that expensive and you have a good hour ish on the boat and enjoying the beautiful view and building. Absolutely a most do!"

Capture the colorful houses of Nyhavn, the iconic Little Mermaid, the grandeur of Amalienborg Palace, and the unique architecture along the canals. The reflections in the water can also make for beautiful shots.
Use a wider aperture for shallow depth of field to blur the background, or a narrower one for sharp details. Consider shooting in RAW for more editing flexibility.
Modern smartphones have excellent cameras, but a dedicated camera with a good zoom lens can offer more versatility, especially for capturing distant landmarks.
A polarizing filter can help reduce glare and enhance colors. Shooting at an angle to the sun can also minimize reflections.
Experiment with different angles! Shooting from a slightly lower perspective can emphasize the scale of buildings. Try to frame landmarks with interesting foreground elements from the boat.
