What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors describe the Frederikshavn Art Museum as a charming, intimate space offering a pleasant cultural experience. While some note its small size and limited exhibition duration, many appreciate the diverse collection, including local watercolors and contemporary art, as well as the unique Exlibris Collection. The museum is praised for its welcoming staff, affordability, and excellent accessibility.
"Quiet little art gallery. In October 2025 there were around 100 different watercolor works and similar. It takes just around 10-15 minutes to see all artworks, maybe 15-25 min if they also have on the 1st floor. Lots of artworks were also available for purchase for around 130 - 2000 EUR / piece. Lots of floor space for medium size groups (like up to ~30) and wheelchairs"

"Interesting things, even for a man without sense for art such as myself. U"

"This little art gallery contains some interesting local pieces and, while we were there, also a lot of contemporary art much of which was available for purchase.
The entrance is inexpensive and the staff were welcoming.
This is a small museum though so don't go expecting to use much more than an hour in a normal pass through."
