However, we could not find a tap or shower where we could clean our legs to avoid bringing sand into the car.
We were there at the end of August when the car park was full. It seems to be a popular place for relaxation, especially if you don't mind strong winds and rain. We carried an anemometer and the wind gusts reached 42 m/s (151.2 km/h) – equivalent to 94 mph – with an average speed of 11.8 m/s (42.5 km/h) – equivalent to 26.4 mph.
