What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the unique historical atmosphere of the 12th-century Loucký Monastery, finding it awe-inspiring and authentic. The Znojmo region wines, especially the mineral-rich whites and seasonal burčák, are a highlight for many, though some bottled wines may not match tasting expectations.
"Wine itself: 3(ish) stars. Overall experience: 5+ stars. We tried a variety of wine and ended up buying several. The wines we tried onsite were pretty decent, but two of the ones we bought we flat out bad. We were the only ones there for the tour though, so we got our own little tour of the building and I was in awe. The building and history there was unlike anything I’d seen. We loved that it hasn’t been restored so the history of the place still seems very much alive."

"Love Znovín wines and where better to get them than in Loucký Monastery. They have a very good selection including wines you world not get in standard shop. You can get some nice discount there as well. If you like white wines from Znojmo region then this definitely a place to go to."

"A must-see, and must-taste site in Znojmo wine region. The wine shop is located in the 12th century premonstrait monastery (used for military purposes for 3 centuries), offering the best wines from the Znojmo wine region (quite mineral taste)"
