What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
U Pinkasů is a highly recommended spot for authentic Czech cuisine, praised for its delicious, hearty dishes and incredibly reasonable prices. While most experiences are positive, occasional service inconsistencies have been noted, with some staff being less welcoming than others. The indoor beer experience is particularly lauded.
"I absolutely love it here (so much I immediately went back the next day). On the first day I ordered their goulash, on the second their pork with dumplings and may I say both were delicious. The mixed cabbage was interestingly my highlight (im a suckered for a good cabbage dish) and I would be happy to eat it on its own. Also the dishes are very well prices costing about €12 each which is incredibly reasonable for great portions. Service was friendly each time and food arrived quickly. Can't recommend this place enough!"

"We stumbled on U Pinkasů on our first evening in Prague. Managed to get a table and we both had a main course.
Schnitzel and potato salad for himself, and I had the potato dumplings with cabbage and onion. Traditional hearty food that was very filling."

"This place is really chill. You can enjoy your time as much as you can just sitting and trying some small dishes with your drink. The prices are really good comparing to the other restaurants.
I got the fried bread with garlic which was amazing and I did not expect that to be honest.
💯 Definitely recommend this place"

The U Pinkasů Beer Experience: Inside vs. Outside
This recommendation stems from the understanding that traditional pubs often have specific cellar systems or serving protocols for their beer that are best maintained within the main establishment. The outdoor garden, while charming, might not replicate these conditions perfectly. Therefore, for the true connoisseur or anyone wanting to savor a perfectly poured Czech pilsner, the interior of U Pinkasů is the place to be.
