What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Klementinum for its breathtaking Baroque Library Hall and the rewarding views from the Astronomical Tower. While the tour format and photography restrictions are noted, the historical significance and unique beauty of the site make it a highly recommended Prague attraction.
"The library just stunning and the view from the tower was one of the most beautiful view I had for this trip. Strongly recommend to buy your ticket in advance so that is place is very full everyday"

"The view from the tower is spectacular, but it's not worth the money. I was most looking forward to the Baroque library, but access is very limited. You can only peek in from a small space at the edge of the library; they won't let you inside. For me, it was a huge disappointment, and paradoxically, I enjoyed it more during the virtual tour, which is completely free here: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=SLk8AD2b6JV
You can't really see the globes either, and you can only take pictures of them on the bulletin board. You have high expectations because it is one of the most beautiful libraries in the world, but the reality is a bit sad."

"This is a must see!!!! The library is the most impressive thing I’ve seen in Prague. The view from the tower equally impressive. All tours are guided so you need to buy tickets in advance. But what’s great is you can arrive 10 mins before your tour and you’re in. One thing to note: there are ~170 stairs but there are lots of breaks so it’s not too tiring. Highly highly recommend."
