What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kino Světozor is lauded for its charming, classic cinema atmosphere and its curated selection of artistic Czech and international films, often with English subtitles. Visitors appreciate the intimate setting, the vintage poster collection, and the on-site cafe/bar, making it a beloved spot for a unique movie-going experience and romantic dates. However, some guests have noted that the seating arrangement can occasionally lead to obstructed views.
"Nice theatre overall, but the seating has a significant design flaw.
The seating arrangement is poorly staggered, making it very easy for a taller person in the row in front of you to completely block your view. I've had this issue multiple times where I spent the screening looking directly at the back of someone's head. Unfortunately, there's nothing a guest can do about this design issue once you're seated."
Ondřej Polák
"It's one of those old timey cinemas, right in the city centre. They also sell reprints of old amazing movie posters from all the decades of 20th century. I love this. Sometimes it's good to go back to the classic old cinema without all the bells and whistles and just enjoy the suspension of disbelief and imagination like we used to.
There is also a little cafe/bar downstairs right next to the theatre. I wanted to take pictures of it, but forgot. You have to take my word for it and go explore it yourself, you'll see it's worth it. :)"

"Very aesthetically pleasing cinema with a variety of rooms and really interesting programs. Go watch movies! Even the smallest room is great for screenings. They offer English/Expat-Friendly Czech screenings as well."
