What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hybernia Theatre is praised for its stunning, majestic interior that offers a magical escape. Visitors often highlight the professional quality of performances, particularly ballets like Swan Lake. However, some find the seating to be uncomfortably close together, and occasionally, the advertised quality of a performance doesn't fully meet expectations.
"Divadlo Hybernia is a historic theater in the heart of Prague, near the Powder Tower. Originally a Gothic monastery, it was later transformed into a Baroque church before becoming a theater in the 19th century. Its neoclassical façade contrasts with its modern role as a venue for musicals, ballets, and concerts. After extensive renovations, Divadlo Hybernia reopened in 2006, offering a mix of classical and contemporary performances. With its rich history and vibrant cultural program, it remains a popular destination for both locals and tourists seeking world-class entertainment in an elegant setting."

"I want to recommend to go and see the Swan lake ballet show. It is fantastic, the Russia classic was done very professionally by the cast. The main swan dancer was breath taking with her dancing.
Tip- don’t sit in the front rows it is too close to the stage (the theatre room is relatively small). Also, you can move in seats since they are not marked.
Enjoy!"

"Stand up comedy of Enis Bešlagić was perfect. But it was nowhere advertised, not even in the theatre's program. The rows of chairs are too close to each other so seating is uncomfortable."
