What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Žižkov Television Tower for its breathtaking panoramic views of Prague, offering a less crowded alternative to other viewpoints. The unique crawling baby sculptures by David Černý are a major talking point, adding an artistic and surreal element. While some find the tower's modern architecture a stark contrast to historic Prague, most agree it's a worthwhile experience for the vistas and unique art.
"The Prague TV Tower is a fairly popular place not only as a viewpoint, but also as an art zone (sculptures of children crawling on the tower). But everyone goes here anyway for the "unsurpassed view of Prague".
Frankly speaking, the view from 95~ meters, although interesting and truly incredible, cannot be compared with the view from the tower of St. Vitus Cathedral, which is located at approximately the same height, and from it you can see almost all the iconic buildings of Prague.
Of course, you can note the opportunity to eat with a view of Prague, but not at a slightly lower height (60~ meters).
In general, if you want to see the view of Prague from this place - you can go up, but the view from St. Vitus Cathedral is better and cheaper, although the ascent is not by elevator."

"Good points: quick to get to on excellent public transport. Lots of chairs. Not busy. You can right up to the glass.
Bad points. Other people have got right up to the glass and appeared to have smeared their entire bodies along it. Clean the windows! It's 15 euros. You can get a lot of window cleaning spray for that price.
A very old looking sign saying the credit card machine is out of order. Yeah right. But you managed to get an ATM in there. I'm calling BS on that.
Toilets are locked. Again 15 euros. Sort that out."

"I visited the Zizkov Television Tower around sunset, and it was absolutely worth it. The view of the city bathed in golden light and gradually turning into night was breathtaking. Inside the observatory, there were also several art installations, photographs, and videos, which added a nice cultural touch to the experience.
Definitely recommend visiting around sunset for the best views."
