"Fort Church, the bright yellow gem in Willemstad, is Curaçao’s oldest Protestant church, built in 1769 within Fort Amsterdam. Its walls hold centuries of history, from colonial governors to naval battles. Small but fascinating, with a museum that brings the island’s past to life.
We didn’t get in but admired it from the street."

Marta Stashevska

"We had the sincere pleasure of visiting the Fort Church when we were visiting Willemstad and I would highly recommend others to stop for a visit if you are in the area. The church is located inside the fort area and there are signs that show where it’s located. There is no set admission fee but they do ask for a donation and it’s for a very worthy cause so they deserve the donations!

The church itself is still active today, which is amazing in and of itself! The museum that is attached to the church is full of so many incredible artifacts and so much history and information and it’s actually very interesting! It was one of my favorite sites in Willemstad, as it gave me an opportunity to learn more about the history of the area. I would highly recommend others to stop in for a visit as it was truly a valuable experience!"

"The Fort Church is located inside of Fort Amsterdam, many pictures in other reviews don't properly show that, or even show a different church al together. The Church was built as part of the fort in 1769. There is a museum you can visit about the church and fort, but the church is also in active use. You can attend the service, which is in Dutch, every Sunday."
